In accordance with our local chapter bylaws, the nominating committee of the Alberta Chapter ISCEBS is soliciting volunteers and recommendations of nominees for the Officers and for the Board of Directors to be filled at the annual election and shall investigate the qualifications of persons under consideration.
Please send all recommendations to the Chapter President, Heather Shaw, CEBS, via email to firstname.lastname@example.org. The committee shall announce its nominations for the offices of President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer and at least one member of the Board of Directors to the membership not less than forty-five (45) days prior to the Annual General Meeting (AGM), Thursday, November 24, 2022.
Additional nominations may be made by any Chapter member by submitting the candidate’s name accompanied by a statement from the candidate indicating a willingness to serve. Such nominations must reach the nominating committee not less than thirty (30) days in advance of the AGM. The membership will be notified not less than ten (10) days prior to the AGM if the final list of nominees changes from the original announcement.
Election of officers and members of the Board of Directors shall take place at the AGM. The nominee for each office receiving the greatest number of votes, whether a majority of all votes are cast, shall be declared the successful candidate. In the event a candidate runs uncontested, that candidate shall be elected by acclamation. Officers and Directors shall commence the performance of their duties at the beginning of the fiscal year following their election (January 1, 2023).
