Join the Alberta Chapter ISCEBS on Thursday, September 23rd at 9:00 am PDT for our webinar "How Can You Make Your Benefit Plans More Inclusive for Members of the LGBTQ2S Community".

Our speaker, Allison Tremblay, with the Victory Square Law Office, will cover some of the particular health needs of this diverse group and potential barriers to access. We will then discuss the risks of the status quo and changes to consider to improve access and equity.

Speaker: Allison Tremblay

Allison Tremblay (she/her) is a labour, employment, and human rights lawyer and partner with Victory Square Law Office. Allison represents a number of jointly- and employee-trusteed pension and benefit plans. She also represents clients before the labour relations board, arbitrators, human rights and other administrative tribunals, mediators, and the B.C. and federal courts and advises unions on internal and constitutional matters. Allison has particular interest in assisting persons from historically disadvantaged groups including LGBTQ2S and BIPOC.

Allison holds a B.A. from Simon Fraser University, and an LL.B. from the University of British Columbia. She is a member of the Canadian Bar Association, the Canadian Association of Labour Lawyers, and the Canadian Pension and Benefits Institute. Outside of work, Allison can be found spending time in nature with her family or singing in the renowned Elektra Women’s Choir.
